Copywriting With Insight
This spot? I know how to find it.
You’ve heard the saying ‘time is money’, but your time is so much more than that.
It’s your time spent strategising. It’s your self-care. It’s your relationship with your family. It’s that episode you’ve been dying to catch up on.
I know this business is your baby, but contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to do it all. Think of me as your godmother, tutor, and au pair, all rolled into one.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be a writer.
I decided to be a teacher instead, so I could have my own drawer full of gold stars.
When I was a teenager, I wanted to be a writer. Seeing Peggy in Mad Men lit all my fires.
I went to uni and studied Psychology instead because I was afraid inspiration wouldn’t strike when I needed it to.
As an adult, I am a writer. And every day, I wake up still wanting to be one.
What I learned was that good writing doesn’t rely on lightning-strike inspiration (though it doesn’t hurt). It’s a process that you can nurture and refine.
When I first came across copywriting, I was astounded. I couldn’t believe there was an actual job out there that combined all my favourite things: language, Psychology. But not just language and Psychology. Storytelling. Humour. Clarity. The meticulous attention to wordy-detail I’d learned from my Mum was suddenly a valuable skill that I could use to make actual money.
And yes, I have a drawer of gold stars.
Quick Fix? No Thanks.
That’s not what I want, and it’s not what I provide.
I believe solutions come from treating the cause, not the symptom. I believe in doing things well.
I believe in creating something that lasts, that can be built on.
I believe in loving every step of the process and every detail of my craft.
Maybe, I’m a little bit of a perfectionist.
But you know what?
I believe you’re worth it.
